Sometimes All We Need is a Fresh Start
A fresh start could mean a Monday or it may mean moving to a new place or starting a new job; but one of the most universal fresh starts is the New Year. January 1st feels like an amazing blank palette and the great thing about a brand new beautiful piece of white paper is that we get to decide what to draw on it.This year I am focusing on being present and saying "yes" to challenges and things that scare me and "no" to things that don't make me feel amazing. I am not going to set a workout resolution or tell myself to eat kale every morning. Instead, I am going to look at the big picture and focus on what really matters.I am writing today to invite you to do the same. This New Year's rather than concentrating on losing weight or going to the gym, let's challenge ourselves to be better people and make choices that fulfill us and make us happier. Next year let's pull our kids out of school to eat ice cream and get overdressed for date night. Let's make a list of books we want to read and cook our way through our favourite cookbook. Next year, let's do something everyday that makes us really feel happy.2017 is going to be a great year. I know this because we are going to make it one.xx.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone.Suzanne
